Tools of the Trade

Photography is a hobby I picked up a few years back. I’ve only posted an extremely small number of sample shots I’ve taken over the years, and haven’t taken many pictures over the last few years so haven’t posted any lately. That, dear reader, is about to change. I have ordered a new camera that should arrive next week. I am excited – here is what I ordered:

I am excited, and also a little sad – you see it will arrive over the weekend, but I will be out of the country when it gets here. That means I have to wait until I return home.

I hope to post some new great shots soon, so be on lookout!

In Which You Are Our Dreams Manifest

So the Olympics started last week. I admit, I normally don’t watch. Each time they happen I tell myself I will, but invariably I forget or am travelling or am washing my hair which is no mean feat when you think about it. Game of Thrones by George R R Martin

“You wear your honor like a suit of armor, Stark. You think it keeps you safe, but all it does is weigh you down and make it hard for you to move. Look at you now. You know why you summoned me here. You know what you want to ask me to do. You know it has to be done … but it’s not honorable, so the words stick in your throat.”

– Lord Petyr Baelish, Master of Coin, to Lord Eddard Stark, Lord of Winterfell, Warden of the North, Hand of the King, and Protector of the Realm, from Game of Thrones by George R R Martin.

Chewing Up Gray Part II by Lou Cadle

A few weeks ago, I posted about Gray Part I. and had rave reviews. The fact that I haven’t posted about Part II yet has nothing to do with the quality; instead the delay is entirely of my own making. Mr Cadle did not deserve the delay, as this book continued with the high quality of the first part.

Below, you will find my review of Gray Part II, by Lou Cadle. (Spoilers from here on, naturally.)

Chewing Up “Gray Part I” by Lou Cadle

Details below (spoiler alert, of course).
